Sarah Buskirk is a criminal defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights, freedom, and future of every client she represents. Sarah has practiced throughout Virginia, representing clients in courts across the Commonwealth. Her practice focuses on DUI and traffic matters, drug and addiction-related offenses, property crimes, sex offenses, and violent felonies.

Sarah also assists clients in moving forward after contact with the criminal justice system. Her post-conviction work includes expungements, restoration of rights, probation and parole violations, and background check disputes. She understands the importance of protecting her clients’ reputations and advocates for the removal of criminal records and mugshots from online databases whenever possible.

In addition, Sarah enjoys working with survivors and takes her role as a victim advocate seriously. She tackles protective order cases and assists clients through criminal investigations and prosecutions, taking a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to these very sensitive matters.

Sarah lives in Washington, DC with her husband, three kids, a dog, and a cat. When she’s not in court, she enjoys long walks, tackling escape rooms, and spending time with her family.
